| it's well known that, unlike the face turning cube, the face-turning dodecahedron is highly sensitive to cut depth with the Pyraminx Crystal and Face Turning Starminx requiring very specific cut depths, and as far as I know, there haven't been any higher order FTD built that didn't just add shallow megaminx cuts.
That said, I'm curious about slicing the dodecahedron into even thickness layers. Where in the Megaminx > Megaminx Crystal > Pyraminx Crystal > Starminx Crystal > Starminx > Master Pentultimate > Pentultimate sequence does the FTD with 3-layers of equal thickness fall? What combination of the two produces a 5-layer FTD with equal layer thickness? Which would be comined with a Pentultimate to form an FTD with 4 equal layers?
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
